Good Time to Get Your Child a Flu Shot
The CDC has stated that this is one of the most active flu seasons in the last 15 years. It is not too late to get the flu vaccine. The flu vaccine for children is typically available from October until May. Here’s the breakdown …
· 6-months to under 3 years old get two half-strength doses, one month apart
· 3 years old and older receive one dose
We recommend the use of proper hygiene techniques and a flu vaccine for all individuals. Not only does this offer some protection for the vaccinated, but it can also help prevent the transmission of these viruses to the medically vulnerable - both young and old - in our families.
