Sunscreen Tips for Kids

Summertime is fun time, but it’s important to take care of your children’s skin while they’re out and about.

Here is a general guideline:

• The darker your skin, the less SPF you need, but you DO need it - try 10-15 SPF

• If you have a lighter complexion start with at least 30 SPF

• If you’re fair-skinned, go with 50-70 SPF

• And finally, baby skin should start with 70 SPF

• Follow the directions on the product and reapply often

Rash guard tops are also a terrific option for sun protection, but make sure you apply sunblock on exposed areas.

We hope you and your kids have a wonderful summer!
